The Downtown Merchants of Historic Fort Walton Beach, Florida invite you every Friday to “Downtown Art Walk” to view local works of art at participating stores from 5:30pm-8:30pm. “The Astronaut Take Over” is a multimedia installation piece by artist E.J. Nieves. This installation will be a combination of painting, sculpture and wonder. The “The Astronaut Take Over” reception will be held at Full Circle Gallery on April 9thth, from 6-9 P.M., with the artist commentary at 7:00pm. E.J. says “If I was the astronaut, then the canvas would be my space, and my brush my shuttle. If one can live their dreams outside the boundaries of everyone else’s black hole (which is regret, fear, hate, etc.) then you too, are an astronaut. The Takeover starts now…”

Dinosaur and Fossil Day

Come join us for a prehistoric good time as we explore the world of dinosaurs and fossils. Northwest Florida State College, the Tallahassee Museum, and FSU will be loaning specimens from their collections for this special event. Practice your dinosaur hunting skills as you carefully extract your own dinosaur from rock. Find out the length of an Apatosaurus. Compare your foot to a dilophosaurus’ footprint. Conclude your visit with some dinosaur related crafts. All activities are free with admission to the museum.
