Downtown Art Walk

The Downtown Merchants of Historic Fort Walton Beach, Florida invite you every 3rd Friday to "Downtown Art Walk" to set up in participating stores from 5:30pm-8:30pm and display your work. Complimentary beverages and hors d’ oeuvres are served by most merchants. This month Hugs n Hissyfits and Little Bo Feet will be hosting " Back to School Art", featuring local student art. The Fountain Square will be hosting interactive kid projects such as pottery wheel, tie dye, dimensional art, etc. Call 850-244-8191 or email: piper@stellala.com for more information.

ART:21 is an award winning PBS original series that follows some of today's most ingenious and imaginative contemporary artists around as they discuss what moves them to create and grow in their artistic endeavors! This event is happening in conjunction with the Downtown Fort Walton Beach Art Walk which takes place on the 3rd Friday of every month from 5-8. Also keep in mind that Sip & Spin will be happening from 6-8 here at the gallery as well, so come make some pottery, drink some wine, and then unwind and watch the PBS series ART:21!

Annie’s "Sandy" coming to the FWB Library
Fort Walton Beach - Looking for something to do with the kids? Meet "Sandy" from the National Broadway tour of Annie on Saturday, September 19th at 1:00 p.m., at the Fort Walton Beach Library. Please join the library as we host "Sandy" (played by Oliver) and dog handler Patrick Peavy. The program is free and open to the public. Don’t forget to bring your cameras! The Fort Walton Beach Library is located at 185 Miracle Strip Parkway, in downtown Fort Walton Beach at the corner of Eglin Parkway. Parking is on First Street to the North and Ferry Road to the East.
HPCC Yard Sale September 19th
Fort Walton Beach - The Fort Walton Beach Heritage Park and Cultural Center and Friends of the Museums, Inc., will hold a white tent yard sale to raise funds for the City museums on Saturday, September 19th from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The fundraising event will be located on the Camp Walton Schoolhouse Museum grounds, 127 Miracle Strip Parkway SE, in historic downtown Fort Walton
Beach. Donations of items to be sold for the fundraising event are welcome and may be dropped off at Heritage Park during regular museum hours. All proceeds will benefit the three museums under Heritage Park’s care, the Schoolhouse, Indian Temple Mound Museum and Garnier Post Office Museum.
The Friends of the Museums, Inc., is a non-profit organization who raise funds and provide volunteers to help support archaeology, history, heritage, educational projects, programs and events of Heritage Park. The organization is dedicated to supporting the Indian Temple Mound and Museum, the Camp
Walton Schoolhouse Museum and the Garnier Post Office Museum. The City of Fort Walton Beach Heritage Park and Cultural Center is a community outreach division of the City and is committed to providing area historical educational programming. Heritage Park and Cultural Center is located at 139 Miracle Strip Parkway SE.

Learn how to pull tall forms, make lids that fit, throw hollow and wide forms, centering techniques, stacking and closed pieces. Robin will also demonstrate special trimming, joining, and hand-building techniques as well as surface treatments that he uses to make his award-winning pieces. 25+ years of pottery experience at your command for a day! Got a problem? - Robin can prescribe your pottery solution! We may have time for horse-hair firing so bring your pre-bisqued pieces!
