Boggy Bayou Bird Project Presentation May 22nd

Fort Walton Beach - The Fort Walton Beach Heritage Park and Cultural Center will host a free lecture and slide show by Walt Spence and Douglas Buck on the Boggy Bayou Birds Project on Saturday, May 22nd at 12:00 p.m., noon. During the slide show, Spence and Buck will present an educational and humorous narration which includes both information about the wildlife, and the specialized techniques and strategies used to capture their subjects. This fun and informative presentation includes 150-200 images and lasts approximately one hour.

For the last three years Spence and Buck, both of Niceville, have intensively photographed the birds and animals around Boggy Bayou in an effort to bring the amazing wildlife of the Choctawhatchee Basin to the public. Armed with the latest professional super-telephoto equipment, the two have searched the creeks and
bayous of “Boggy Country” by canoe more than 300 times during the project. The result is a spectacular collection of thousands of images depicting Boggy's feathered and feral inhabitants as they feed, fight, fly and love.
