Target demographics:
The museum’s target audience is families. Our in-house education programs are geared towards children between the ages of 6 and 13. Our outreach programs are targeted towards children in elementary school.
Obstacles:
Our biggest obstacle is acquiring the necessary funding to purchase new exhibits. Due to a significant decrease in a major income source, fundraising dollars must also be spent to support operating expenses.
With 3 hours a volunteer can:
1. Assist with front desk operations: collecting admission and running the gift store.
2. Serve as a docent to assist museum visitors.
3. Assist during field trips.
What your donation will allow us to do:
It supports the Emerald Coast Science Center's mission to provide outstanding science education exhibits and programs and is essential for sustaining operations and keeping the museum affordable.
Your donation of $250 enables us to:
provide a half-price family science night program to a Title I School.
Your donation of $500 enables us to:
provide a free Family Science program to a Title I School
Your donation of $200 enables us to:
purchase a Lego NXT robot to be used in weekend and summer programs.
