Welcome to Downtown Fort Walton Beach


Historic Downtown Fort Walton Beach is a great little area offering eclectic shops, fine boutiques, jewelry, art, antiques, surf, sail and skate gear. There are several award- winning restaurants featuring a variety of choices and nightclubs with live entertainment. It is home to Northwest Florida Ballet, The Indian Temple Mound and Fort Walton Beach Cultural Center, The Art and Design Society, The Emerald Coast Science Center and The Landing. The Landing is a public park with a boat ramp, day docks, amphitheater & playground and hosts events through out the year.

Join us for a doggie social in our haunted courtyard, doggie trick-or-treating through participating downtown FWB merchants, a costume contest in the park, rescue dogs and Spooky Snapshots at the Florida Dachshund Rescue Halloweenier booth!

Costume contest starts promptly at 3pm. All other events are ongoing between 2pm and 4pm! Contest categories are Best Homemade Costume, Most Girlie Costume, Most Macho Costume, Funniest Costume and Best Duo or Team (dog/dog or dog/owner).
