Lend a hand, or other body parts for a good cause...Jaycees are helping Sharing & Caring Food Bank with this spooky event. 
STROLL ALONG DOWNTOWN AT MERCHANT SHOPS ON BROOKS STREET TO PERRY, 1ST STREET TO THE MIRACLE STRIP FOR THIS ANNUAL FAMILY FRIENDLY EVENT.

Why register?We  are Attempting THE GUINESS BOOK OF RECORDS FOR THE LARGEST ZOMBIE WALK ON THE PLANET! 
UPDATE! FOR 2009, WE HAD 475 PARTICIPATING ZOMBIES!
Bring your spouse, bring the kids, bring your friends and any old corpse you find in town.  This should be fun.

the 2009 zombie walk and CAN FOOD DRIVE raised 700 lbs

of food donated to

Sharing & Caring and Catholic Charities.

Thank you, to all our participants. 

Feed the Hungry! Can Food Drive and party like Zombies.
When: Saturday Oct 23.
Time:
4 pm until? 
7 pm Thriller dancing
Cost: for each zombie two(2) canned foods for the food bank.
Collection Location:
on Ferry Street that night
Registration: begins at 4 pm and is ongoing.
Dress code:
Zombie style

Don't know how to look like a zombie?             We can help.               For a small donation we will have Jaycees makeup artists at Fountain Square to make you up.  Come see what it is all about and have fun.
Other activities include:
Dancing to Thriller, brain eating puzzles, and a gift basket drawing.zombie grave
So rise from your grave and come party like a ZOMBIE!
We intend to conclude the Can Food Drive with a march of Zombies from the corners of downtown to Ferry Street (closed off to traffic).  There will be a DJ playing Thriller and the Zombie's can show off how well they can dance. So come get down and rise to the music. 

Thriller Dance Lessons:
Learn to dance like a Zombie to Michael Jackson's Thriller, for FREE
1) Fokker's upstairs for all ages every Tuesday, from 7 pm to 8.
2) The BLOCK for ages 21 and up, every Wedensday evening from 8:30 to 9:30 PM.

ZOMBIE GAMES:
5 PM on Ferry St, Family games begin including: 3-Legged Zombies race, Toss the Shrunken heads, Bone Throwing, & Carry-off a victim race.
6 PM at KC's, Brain-Eating Contest (jello) limited spaces available. Prizes. Guest Judge!
4-7 PM Zombie Scavenger hunt to get your stamp card filled by all the merchants to be in the grand prize drawing during Thriller.  So far the treasure basket contains a 2for1 trip to Vegas,  Jaycees collectable T-Shirt, coupons, Gift Certificates from downtown merchants and much more.
