Call To Artists for 3rd Annual Fire and Earth: 2011 Coastal Pottery Expo



HPCC Call To Artists for 3rd Annual Fire and Earth: 2011 Coastal Pottery Expo The City of Fort Walton Beach Heritage Park & Cultural Center announces its “First Call” to all potters and ceramic artists who would like to participate in the third annual pottery exposition event titled Fire and Earth: 2011 Coastal Pottery Expo. The event is scheduled on Saturday, April 30th, 2011 from10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on the grounds of Heritage Park and Cultural Center. Booth fees for artists are $40.00 per 10 ft. X 10 ft. space. Space is limited. Artists interested in participating can stop by the Indian Temple Mound Museum or Full Circle Art Gallery in Fort Walton Beach and pick up an application, or call to have an application faxed or mailed to their email or postal address. Fire and Earth will celebrate the ancient art form of ceramics and pottery by featuring all forms, genres, mediums, and styles created by potters and ceramic artistans throughout the Gulf Coast region. Potters and ceramic artists will display, sell, educate and share their work with the public on the museum grounds throughout the day. Also, during this event students that submit their work to the Pottery Youth Art Competition will display their work and will be awarded placement throughout the day. Additionally, several demonstrations on pottery will take place throughout the day.
