Run for Fisher House
5K Run/Walk and Mile Fun Run
Fisher House: A home away from home for families of sick or wounded military personnel
When: 26 March 2011
Where: The Landing, Brooks Street, Fort Walton Beach, FL
Course: The course is flat and fast along the Sound. There will be water stations along the route. The one mile run is for the children, which makes the event a family affair.
Event: The run/walk will begin approximately 8:30 AM. All ages may participate. The kids one mile run will
begin approximately 9:30 AM. Local bands will provide entertainment at the start and finish.
Awards: Awards will be presented at the end of the race. Overall male/female, master male/ female and
grandmaster for the 5K run. Awards will be presented to the top three in the following age groups: 0-9, 10-
14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70+.
Walking: Awards will be presented to the overall male/female, master male/female and the n
ext top ten finishers.
Mile Awards: Overall boy/girl and top three in the 0-6, 7-10, and 11-13 age groups.
Post Race: Awards will be presented at The Landing at the conclusion of the event.
Entry Fees: Early registration through 19 March 2011. Day of registration, 6:30-7:45 AM.
- Early 5K runner/walker: $20.00 Race day entry: $25.00
- Early Fun Run runner/walker: $ 5.00 Race day entry: $10.00
T-Shirts: T-shirts will be presented to the first 200 entries. Early registration will improve chances for
correct size.
